GOOD SAMARITAN VISION ORPHANAGE AND SCHOOL

WHAT IS THE MONEY FOR?
The School’s 20 year old minibus has broken down and it will cost $582 (£375, €427) to fix. The bus is essential for taking the older kids to secondary school, dealing with medical emergencies and transporting supplies,.

WHAT IS GOOD SAMARITAN VISION?
Good Samaritan Vision started life as a rescue centre for destitute and trafficked children and has evolved into an orphanage and school for Kenyan children from 0 – 16.

WHERE IS IT?
GSV Orphanage is five kilometres from the nearest town of Kilifi on the North Kenyan coast. It is a two hour drive from Kenya’s second city Mombassa.

FUNDING
GSV aims to be a self sustaining community project. It raises money by leading nature walks for tourists. But in recent years tourist numbers have declined leading to a fall in income.
